There are a number of plugins, something you may not understand, that make the website secure and user friendly as well. The first thing you do is acquire a domain name and hosting. 

Make sure you pick a domain that is as close to your business name as possible. Even though we are Planck Social Media Agency we chose the domain ‘PlanckMedia.com’ to keep it simple and memorable. You want your domain to be memorable, even catchy, so that your potential clients and/or customers will remember it easily. A ‘.com’ domain is preferable. They run about $10 initially, then around $18/yr at a yearly renewal, cheaper if you purchase multiple years.

Then you’ll want to purchase a hosting service. We suggest the Managed WordPress, which starts at around $7 a month, paid annually. You’ll also want to get email service, too. We suggest a Business account @3.99/mo paid yearly. This way you can add email addresses as necessary, not just have one for everything. We can help you set all that up.

We’ll install the necessary plugins, work with your content or write what is needed, and create call to action events on your site to engage your visitors and get you business. Authenticity, emotional resonance, and problem-solution offers are key elements that draw clients.

WordPress has many free themes available, but you might want something with a little more style. Envato Marketplace is a trusted resource with over 35,000 themes available to fit every need. We’ve built curriculum sites using WPLMS, a WordPress Learning Management System. If you have existing coursework, we can integrate that as well.

You may have heard of Search Engine Optimization or SEO already. We’ll make sure your site is optimized for page or post titles, content, meta-descriptions, and graphics/images so that you have the best chance at being seen by the major search engines – Google, Yahoo and Bing. We’ll work with you to develop specific ‘keywords’ for your business and pages.

If you’ve heard of ‘keywords’ but aren’t sure exactly what they are, they are the words that identify your business, product or service and the things your potential customers might be looking for that relate to your business. This process is both an art and science and may take a few weeks to dial it in as best as possible. 

Once the website is done, then we’ll work on developing your business pages across the social media platforms – Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter initially. The latter three depend on your target market. We’ll also help you clarify who your target market is so that you go after the right folks in the right places, sharing our expertise with advertising on Facebook, LinkedIn and Google. 

Google Business Pages are essential to getting your business recognized and listed in Google Maps and for Local Searches so your future clients and customers see you when they are searching for products or services. There is a process for that, too, which includes submitting the page once it is complete, then verifying it after Google sends you a postcard with your unique code. It takes a week to 10 days to get it, normally. We’ll make sure you get it done right.

We can create landing pages and sales funnels for you as well. Those terms may not be familiar. By the time we’re done you’ll have a new living awareness of just how social media marketing works and you will feel comfortable with the terms and usage of your new tools.
