Do you need some LinkedIn Help?
LinkedIn Help in this context means some basic information and cool stuff to help you stand out in a crowd through the content and graphics on your LinkedIn personal and company profiles. There is a lot more on the web if you know how to search. Time is at a premium, so we’ve done some searching for you and shared our findings here.
Profile Photo
Photos should represent you, artistic license of professional branding may apply. LinkedIn now has a circular image, so consider your size requirements and centering of your image.
- You can upload JPG, GIF or PNG files.
- File size – 10MB maximum.
- Your photo should be square.
- 400 x 400 pixels in size
Changing Your Profile Background
Select an image below for now. You can change it later. Download and save — Right Click, Save image as…, Select Folder, Click Save
Background images must be:
- File type JPG, GIF or PNG
- No larger than 4MB.
- Pixel dimensions – 1584 x 396 recommended
Company Page Cover Image
- Banner image – Minimum 1536 x 738 pixels, PNG/JPEG/GIF format, Maximum 2 MB, landscape layout, image should be wider rather than taller.
- Logo – Minimum 300 x 300 pixels, 400 x 400 pixels is the recommended size PNG/JPEG/GIF format, Maximum 4 MB, square layout.
Open LinkedIn. Go to Profile… Edit Profile. ‘Edit Background’ will appear when you mouse-over the area in the center, just above your profile text. Click it, find your image on your computer and upload. Now you know how, have got a cool background and you can change it later. Preferably you want something that goes with your profession.
